Summit County Chief Counsel Brad Gessner has been with the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office since May 2001. He began his legal career as a legal intern in the Canton City Prosecutor’s Office. He has served as a criminal prosecutor in the Canton City Prosecutor’s Office, and as an Assistant County Prosecutor in Medina and Mahoning Counties. He returned to prosecution after gaining five years’ experience in the civil practice of law in Youngstown and Warren. Prosecutor Gessner has a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from Walsh University and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law. He has also taught Business Law and Criminology at Walsh University. Prosecutor Gessner currently serves as Chief Counsel for Prosecutor Walsh’s office.
