Internships

The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office provides a hands-on work experience for students who desire a career in public service. Our office is seeking motivated students with the highest integrity and sound judgment who are interested in working to help our office represent the citizens of Summit County. The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office offers a variety of opportunities for eligible students to gain experience in the areas of criminal, civil, appellate and juvenile law.

As an intern at the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office, you will have a diverse learning experience. Undergrad interns help with community outreach, observe court hearings and trials and help with special projects. Legal interns help with legal research, criminal cases and observing court hearings and trials. Summer interns will go on industry field trips to community partners, the Summit Count Jail, the Summit County Court House and the City of Akron Safety Communications Center.

We will work with you on your schedule and hours are flexible. Internships are unpaid and you must pass a background check.
