2025 Calendar Winners
Congratulations to all the participants in our annual Summit County Prosecutor's Office Safety Kids Calendar Contest. This year's grand prize winner is Makayla Craig and her poster telling kids to not "fall into peer pressure". Makayla's poster will be on the front cover of our 2025 Safety Kids Calendar. The winners were announced during a ceremony Wednesday, November 13 at the Akron-Summit County Public Library. The contest involves our 12 Ways to Stay Safe - with Summit County Middle School students creating posters depicting those safety rules. This year students from 13 schools submitted over 1,000 posters. The following first-place winners will also be included in the calendar.

Each year, the Summit Prosecuting Office holds a contest for all of the counties 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Participating students pick from categories that center around making good decisions and avoiding poor decisions. Those categories include
- Trust yourself! Don't give in to Peer Pressure
- Don't Do Drugs
- Don't Use Alcohol
- Never Play with Guns
- Don't Vape
- Never Give Out Personal Information Online
- Don't Talk to or go With Anyone You Don't Know
- Say NO to Unwanted Touch!
- Never Tell Anyone You are Home Alone
- Say NO to Gangs
- Stop Bullies in Their Tracks! Always Tell an Adult
- Violence at Home is Never Okay! Your Home Should be a Safe Place.
